CEDAS 1.01 Updates

  • CEDAS 1.01h Patch 8.6MB (11/12/2001)
    NOTE: Non-Hardware Lock Users Only
Users with Hardware locks may contact Veri-Tech for update availability
This maintenance release contains updates for ACES, BMAP, DYNLET, and NEMOS. About 5 perent of users have been experiencing significant installation problems as well as software crashes.  This patch should eliminate these problems.  The genesis of the problems stems from a section of CEDAS that queries printer resources on the target PC.  Additinal problems may have resulted from use of out-dated Microsoft shared Dynamic Link Libraries (DLL).  Downloads to check your DLL compatibility are provided below.  We highly recommend that all CEDAS users download and execute the CEDAS 1.01h Patch.

  • A few users have reported problems with running CEDAS which appear to be caused by out-of-date system DLL files on the user’s system.  We have compiled programs to diagnose and update those DLL files.

    CheckVersions.exe

    • This program will check the system DLL files required to run CEDAS and record their version numbers to an ASCII file.  Run this program and press Go.  The application will prompt you for a file name.  Enter the file name and press Save.  You may compare that file with DLLVersions.txt to see if you have the latest system DLL files required by CEDAS.  If any versions are less than the versions recorded in DLLVersions.txt, you may need to run the UpdateDLLs.exe program.  If your versions are later than those recorded in DLLVersions.txt, those files should be OK.

    UpdateDLLs.exe
    5.0 MB

    • This program will ensure that your system DLL files are the latest ones required by CEDAS.  First, the program will make a backup copy to a directory called DLLBackup under the Windows system directory (system32 on WinNT machines).  Then, it will copy over any of the system DLL files that have earlier versions than those required by CEDAS.

    DLLVersions.txt

    • This file contains the earliest versions of the system DLL files required by CEDAS.  Compare this file with the one generated by CheckVersions.exe to see if you have out-of-date system DLLs.
